An academic medical center in West Virginia is seeking an additional epileptologist and cognitive specialist to join their Department of Neurology.They are also hiring a pediatric neurologist with EEG proficiency to join their collegial group. This is an opportunity to participate in medical student and resident education, as well as research.

• 303-bed
• Level II Trauma Center
• Advanced Primary Stroke Center certification
• Level III Epilepsy Center - 4 adult rooms and 2 pediatric rooms
• Catchment area of 350,000
• H1B Visa Sponsorship
• Support from 3 Nurse Practitioners

Epileptologist Position Highlights:

• 1:7 Call schedule with residents taking first call
• Teach neurology residents
• Support for research interests
• Collaborate with Functional Neurosurgeon
• Majority epilepsy volume with room to build to 80%+
• Join one other fellowship trained epileptologist and 8 other neurologists
• Faculty appointment

Cognitive Highlights:

• 1:7 Call schedule with residents taking first call
• Teach neurology residents
• Support for research interests
• 100% Cognitive volume
• Faculty appointment

Pediatric Hospital Highlights:

• 72-bed
• 36-bed Level III NICU
• 10-bed PICU
• Level III Epilepsy Center with 2 pediatric rooms
• Catchment area of 350,000

Pediatric Neurology Highlights:

• 1:3 Call schedule
• 1 admin day per week, clinic days 8a-5p,
• Ability to read EEGs required
• Join 3 other pediatric neurologists and work closely with other pediatric departments
• J-1 Visa Waiver support available
