Job Title: Allstar Cheer Coach

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Position Summary: As an Allstar Cheer Coach, you will play a crucial role in shaping young athletes' lives. You'll work closely with children, teaching them cheerleading skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive environment. Your passion for kids, organizational skills, and effective communication will contribute to the success of our programs.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide proper instruction; demonstrate/spot skills based on class level. Supervise all activities closely.

• Maintain effective and timely communication with staff and parents regarding program news, changes, and other necessary information.

• Maintain attendance sheets and communicate with gym manager when you notice a large number of absences.

• Attend & participate in all staff meetings and trainings.

• Must read your email and respond to emails.

Responsibilities:

• Choreograph Routines: Create exciting and engaging cheer routines that showcase athletes' abilities and teamwork.
• Teach Tumbling Skills: Instruct students in basic tumbling techniques, ensuring safety and proper form.
• Develop Practice Plans: Design practice plans to enhance team skills, focusing on physical fitness, technique, and performance.
• Behavior Management: Provide guidance on behavior management and discipline, maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere.
• Promote Positive Outlook: Encourage a positive outlook on life, emphasizing sportsmanship, resilience, and personal growth.
• Effective Communication: Communicate clearly with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches to ensure everyone is informed and engaged.
• Adaptability and Learning: Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow without feeling pressured, embracing new coaching methods and techniques.
• Weekend Availability: Be willing to work weekends, as cheerleading events and competitions often take place during these times.

• Passion for Kids: A genuine love for working with children and helping them achieve their goals.
• Organization: Ability to manage schedules, lesson plans, and administrative tasks efficiently.
• Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive and encouraging demeanor, motivating athletes to excel.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new coaching strategies and industry trends.
• Weekend Flexibility: Availability to work weekends as needed.

Hours: Expected hours for this position are approximately 25 to 30 hours per week.
