Job Description

The Corporate FP&A Analyst position sits within the Corporate FP&A Team. A team that is uniquely positioned in the ‘center of gravity’ with access to all financial data of the company. As a Corporate FP&A Analyst you will be asked to cooperate with the Sr. Corporate FP&A manager to drive financial performance of the company by supporting the month-end close processes and make recommendations to optimize (financial) business performance. This includes providing supporting performance analyses.

This entry-level role offers valuable hands-on experience, working closely with cross-functional teams—including channel finance, accounting, operations and marketing. It provides a strong foundation for career growth and development in finance. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks :

  • Actively participate in, and help coordinate the month-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting;
  • Execute comprehensive KPI analysis, encompassing revenue, cost of sales, SG&A and other expenses to identify trends and opportunities for improvement;
  • Conduct periodic financial analyses, both backward and forward-looking, providing actionable insights and recommendations;
  • Play a key role in preparing reporting for key management team meetings, including the Executive Committee and external stakeholders, by providing insightful financial data and analysis.
  • Execute the development of financial models to analyze various business opportunities and cost-saving initiatives, supporting decision-making processes and maximizing profitability.
  • Create and maintain PowerBI reports to support business needs.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in finance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Analytical mindset with a structured and results-oriented approach.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI (or similar analytics tools).
  • Experience with financial systems such as D365 and Anaplan is a plus but not required.

Peet’s Home Office is a Hybrid worksite, which requires any Home Office employees to work onsite a minimum of 3 days/ week (Emeryville, California).

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
