Position Overview: Join our vibrant campus café team! We're seeking a friendly, reliable, and energetic team member to manage the café's point of sale, assist in preparing delicious food, and serve our campus community. What You’ll Do: Food Prep & Presentation: Assist with preparing and presenting food items consistently and with care, following established recipes and guidelines. Front Counter Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, operate the point-of-sale system, and serve food with a smile. You’ll be the face of the café! Team Support: Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service. Clean & Organized: Maintain a clean work area and follow food safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations. Equipment Use: Safely operate basic kitchen equipment, including knives, ovens, stoves, mixers, and other appliances. (Training available!) Flexible Scheduling: Be open to a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings. What We’re Looking For: Positive Attitude and willingness to learn Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and safety procedures Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of food safety; willing to take and pass a ServeSafe certification course (provided if needed) Previous experience in a kitchen or customer service role is a plus, but not required Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 35 lbs during shifts A desire to be part of a welcoming, student-centered campus community Why Work With Us?
