As the Director of SEO, you will help build a best-in-class SEO practice across technical and content SEO. You will partner with our teams to ensure best practices.

This role requires an individual with strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business/marketing needs to technical requirements. In addition, to bringing functional SEO knowledge and strategy to the organization, you will be a strong team leader and a desired partner.

You will help your team develop functional knowledge and career skills to raise and help them achieve their full potential. You will provide clear prioritization and rationale for your initiatives and will listen and carefully consider our client's needs and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Working with cross-functional teams to instill SEO best practices, update processes, and improve communication.
  2. Serve as a leader for a team of SEO experts, aiding in career development and coaching.
  3. Plan, develop and implement the overall SEO strategy for our clients, across on and off-page content, and technical SEO.
  4. Establish program KPIs and drive execution to achieve quarterly revenue and customer goals to support overall company growth targets.
  5. Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing trends and best practices, and communicate those to key stakeholders.
  6. Lead the selection and management of external tools & partner ecosystem.
  7. Develop and expand internal tool development (focus on AI).
  8. Build and optimize channel operating processes and routines.
  9. Create, guide, and manage channel reporting and underlying data structure.
  10. Perform competitive and industry benchmarking.
  11. Develop and execute successful SEO strategies.
  12. Manage a team of SEO Specialists.
  13. Conduct keyword research to guide content teams.
  14. Review technical SEO issues and recommend fixes.
  15. Optimize website content, landing pages, and paid search copy.
  16. Collect data and report on traffic, rankings, and other SEO aspects.
  17. Keep abreast of SEO and integrated marketing trends.

We'd like to see:

  1. 10+ years of progressive experience in SEO, Search Marketing, Web Development, and Content Marketing.
  2. Extensive knowledge of on-page SEO, technical SEO, and search engine ranking factors.
  3. Experience with relevant SEO tools (ex: Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GSC, Brightedge, Lumar, etc.) and web analytics tools (ex: Google Search Console, Google Business Pages, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.).
  4. Ability to read, write, and troubleshoot basic JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  5. Expertise in A/B and other testing methods and experience measuring SEO tactics via these methods.
  6. High level of initiative and proven ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to rally teams from across large organizations around clear objectives and key results.
  8. Personal commitment to putting the customer first, prioritizing user experience above search engines, and adhering to Google Webmaster Guidelines.
  9. Clear communicator, with the ability to translate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
