Job Description

Job Summary:The Dispensary Supervisor assists with the day-to-day operations of the dispensary and provides support for the management team. This position is responsible for maintaining best-in-class customer service while ensuring compliance to all applicable regulations and company standards. The Dispensary Supervisor will set the standard for performance and keeping associates motivated. The role requires excellent leadership qualities, gain and understanding of dispensary inventory and products and will assist with opening and closing duties in the absence of management.Key Responsibilities:Customer ServiceProvide best-in-class customer service to customersFollow and uphold established policies for sales and customer service to ensure customer satisfactionAssist all Dispensary Associates in consulting customers to ensure they are informed of the right product choicesMaintain in-depth knowledge of all products and strains in the store and industry-wide product knowledge, and train and share that knowledge with the teamInventory ManagementAssist with monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring an assortment of productsCommunicate inventory action items with the Assistant Manager and General ManagerVerify order deliveries for accuracyEnsure vault accuracyOperations & Task ManagementComplete and appropriately delegate tasks assigned during scheduled shifts, including:Correct cash handlingAccurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) systemAccurate and timely data entry in both the POS and inventory tracking systemsMaintenance of an organized and clean store.Management of the visitor logEnd-of-day daily update emailsEnsure adherence to security measures and safety compliancePerform daily activities, maintenance, and data collection for reported issues or complaintsExecute opening and closing proceduresWork with the management team to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with applicable rules and regulationsTraining & LeadershipAssist with the onboarding and training of new staff in partnership with the management team.Qualifications: Cannabis experience is a plusMust be at least 21 years of ageStrong retail math skills requiredHigh school diploma or GED2+ years in a supervisory or management role in a retail setting, specifically with POS business operationsExceptional customer service skillsKnowledge of basic computer skillsPositive attitude, team player, and strong work ethicUnderstanding of applicable state and local laws and regulations pertaining to:Cannabis industryPersonnel lawSafety regulationsLocal municipal codesOrganizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating proceduresMust be and remain compliant with any and all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industryExcellent organizational and time management skills.Strong attention to detailAbility to internalize training and follow instruction.Clear and effective communication skillsResearch shows that women and people of color often hesitate to apply for jobs unless they meet most or all of the listed requirements.
