Job Summary Metro’s Dump Truck Drivers are self starters who are driven by their safety oriented mindsets. They don’t shy away from a challenge and are team oriented as they assist with concrete and other field work when not driving. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Drive and operate heavy machinery, like the company’s dump truck, in order to haul gravel, dirt, concrete and other materials Adhere to all safety policies and procedures Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner Preform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks Secure all loads with proper safety techniques and equipment Must be willing to assist in field work when not driving including but not limited to concrete placement, and concrete finishing Communicate clearly with team and team leaders to ensure safety, best use of time, and in order to stay on schedule Able to work through all weather conditions Operate other heavy machinery on an as needed basis including but not limited to skid steers, mini excavators, etc Ability to travel during the week for work, but will be home on the weekends Must maintain a class A CDL and a clean MVR Required Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: we are open to training on all equipment Licenses: Must possess obtain and maintain a Class A CDL and a clean MVR We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
