Job Title: Electrical Apprentice

Job Description

Our Electrical Apprentice works under general supervision and direction from our Journeyman Electrician. We are looking for someone who is interested in training under a Journeyman, and is interested in getting their Journeyman Electrician license and working in Electrical Maintenance for the long term.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.

• Pull and terminate wire.

• Install electrical equipment.

• Assist Journeyman with installing and troubleshooting lighting, panels, disconnects, conduit, solar panels, and inverters.

• Trace out short circuits in wiring using a test meter.

• Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation, and tighten connections using hand tools.

• Clean work area.

Required Skills

• Experience with conduit, wiring, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to work under supervision of a licensed electrician.

• Familiarity with chillers, boilers, and Building Automation Systems (BAS) is a nice to have.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Job duties may require standing, kneeling, crawling, bending, and use of hands, fingers, and arms to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.

• Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs.

Schedule

The work shift is Tuesday to Saturday from 2pm to 10:30pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
