JOB SUMMARY:
This is position plays an important role in maintaining and repairing our equipment to ensure safe operation. This includes installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components. The Industrial Electrician is a knowledgeable, hardworking and skilled individual.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of experience as an industrial electrician.
Thorough knowledge of the principles of electricity and of electrical/electromechanical maintenance methods.
Knowledge of the rules of safety, especially as they relate to electrical work and standard LOTO procedures.
Skill in the application of methods used in the trade; use of hand tools, testing equipment, and the safe installation of new and replacement parts.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and to implement that knowledge in safe work practices.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Basic PLC experience.
Ability to respond to emergency calls after normal working hours.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
Ability to work at heights on aerial lifts, stepladders and/or extension ladders.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 90 pounds.
