Under the direction of the Warden, the Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) is responsible for providing guidance and expertise to management and supervisors in areas involving employee performance and administration of the department’s disciplinary process.
Consults with and advises management and supervisors regarding employee work performance and discipline issues which include the preparation and service of formal adverse action packages, non-punitive terminations, and rejections on probation. Acts as liaison to the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), the Office of Legal Affairs (OLA), Employment Advocacy and Prosecution Team (EAPT).
I ndividuals who are eligible for a Training and Development Assignment may also be considered for this position.

Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by departmental annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
