This position will be leading the Maintenance team and will have the responsibility for the maintenance, reliability, and upkeep of all physical plant operations at the Stallergenes Greer Lenoir, NC site.

Job Task(s)

  • Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, upkeep, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems.
  • Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
  • Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to ensure continuous supply of heat, cooling, steam, electric power, gas, or compressed air required for operations.
  • Collaboratively works with operations supervisors and manager to address process issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors, activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Develops preventive and reliability maintenance program under direction of engineering department and through collaboration with operations and maintenance staff.
  • Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities to meet MTBF goals.
  • Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with cGMP and GEP standards.
  • Identifies, plans, and implements new maintenance/reliability projects designed to improve operations, and minimize plant operating costs.
  • Reviews new product and process plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with process engineering and operation management.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for plant/grounds operations.
  • Manages departmental overhead budget.
  • Develops and presents metrics on monthly basis to Engineering management.
  • Other tasks as directed by immediate supervisor.

Education Requirements

This position requires the following minimum education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering related field, emphasis on Reliability Engineering and/or equivalent experience and/or certification preferred.

Work Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct pharmaceutical experience required for consideration
