Job Description

Required Qualifications:

1. You must be a DSU student enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits, during, or for a future fall/spring and/or summer semester(s).
2. You must be accepted into a DSU Graduate Program.
3. This position is conditional upon an acceptable background check.

Time Frame of Assistantship:

The successful graduate student can work up to two (2) academic years, with satisfactory performance in the graduate program and in the assistantship area.

The successful graduate student should expect to work more than ten (10) but less than twenty (20) hours each week.

Compensation:

Tuition waiver offered and a stipend of $250 a month.

Duties and/or Responsibilities:

This position may:
•Provided additional recruiting assistance from an individual well tapped into esports and who is respected by peers
•Tracking of esports athletes to ensure they are being retained and are advancing towards graduation and their academic goals
•Promoting newly developed curriculum in esports that could advance the profile of the institution as more cutting edge

The Esports Operations Assistant duties would also include:
•Assist with the scheduling of matches, reschedules and streaming
•Manage DSU Esports social media accounts and online engagement
•Maintain equipment and upgrade software within the esports spaces
•Engage with area high schools for recruiting purposes
•Identify potential recruits through online systems
•Support gaming events on campus and the DSU Gaming Club
•Supervise certain streams and broadcast events
•Promote our Esports Degrees
•Assist if retention effort for our varsity teams
•Engage in other duties as assigned.
