> about P-1 AI We are building an engineering AGI. We founded P-1 AI with the conviction that the greatest impact of artificial intelligence will be on the built world—helping mankind conquer nature and bend it to our will. Our first product is Archie, an AI engineer capable of quantitative and spatial reasoning over physical product domains that performs at the level of an entry-level design engineer. We aim to put an Archie on every engineering team at every industrial company on earth. Our founding team includes the top minds in deep learning, model-based engineering, and industries that are our customers. We just closed a $23 million seed round led by Radical Ventures that includes a number of other AI and industrial luminaries (from OpenAI, DeepMind, etc.). > about the role As our Head of Bizops, you will be responsible for helping us scale the operational aspects of our business, from managing contractors and vendors to facilities, IT, financial hygiene, and employee benefits. This role is ideal for a jack-of-all-trades (and master of many!) who wants to be in the thick of rapidly scaling an early-stage startup at the forefront of deeptech AI. This role is on-site at least 4 days per week in our SF office located in the Mission. > we expect you to attentively understand the needs of a rapidly-growing business and exercise a high degree of agency in organizing business operations and back-office functions to support it negotiate with and manage the full lifecycle of vendors and contractors of all types track budget, manage our bookkeeper, build financial forecasts manage our SF office in the Mission manage employee IT equipment and IT business services negotiate and administer employee benefits coordinate new employee onboarding administer employee equity grants organize workshops and events support the preparation of board materials and investor relations generally help us deliver a top-notch employee experience do anything else necessary to help us scale successfully! > you will thrive in this role if you have played a key role (e.g., co-founder, leadership, chief of staff, etc.) in a startup before are very plugged into the SF/Silicon Valley startup ecosystem, ideally the AI startup ecosystem understand startup financing and equity structure know the startup backoffice vendor ecosystem well are impatient and like to move quickly, but… … with impeccable and obsessive attention to detail are intellectually curious and quick to pick up concepts outside your area of expertise love working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment resonate strongly with our mission to build an engineering AGI > interview process Initial screening - with Head of Talent (30 mins) Hiring manager interview - with CEO (30 mins) Co-founder interview 1 - with Head of AI (45 mins) Co-founder interview 2 - with Head of Engineering (30 mins) Culture fit / Q&A (maybe on-site) - with CEO (tbd) #J-18808-Ljbffr P-1 AI
