\n\n As a K-12 school-based Special Education Teacher in Washington, DC,
\nyour days will include:
Developing and delivering individualized instruction based on IEP goals
\n\tWriting IEPs, progress reports, and measurable student goals
\n\tManaging classroom behavior with positive supports and interventions
\n\tCollaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
\n\tFacilitating and participating in IEP meetings and parent conferences
\n\tMaintaining compliance with IDEA, state, and district regulations
\n\tPosition: Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
\n\tHours: Full-time, 35 hours/week
\n\tCaseload: Two openings
\n\n\tSelf-Contained Math Teacher (Grades 9–12, 8–10 students, OHI/SLD)
\n\t\t9th Grade ELA Co-Teacher (Caseload 8–10 students, co-teach model)
\n\t\tContract Dates: ASAP start – June 15, 2026
\n\tOnsite Only: No hybrid/remote options
\n\tAn active or pending DC Special Education Teacher licensure, or the ability to obtain (required)
\n\tPrior experience writing IEPs, setting goals, and leading meetings (preferred)
\n\tStrong classroom management and differentiation skills
\n\tExperience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred)
\n\tThe ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
