Your opportunity awaits you... We are looking for a diligent oral surgery Instrument Technician to support our oral surgeon before and after each dental procedure during the summer rush. Your responsibilities will include preparing surgical equipment and tending to patients. You will also be required to monitor inventory levels and replenish our dental supplies, as needed. To be a successful Instrument Technician, you should be highly organized, pay careful attention to details, maintain all dental instruments clean and sanitized according to OSHA standards, in addition to be attentive to patients' needs. Responsibilities: Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols. Assist the surgeon with operatory setup and cleanup. Provide patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative outcomes. Monitor stock of surgical supplies, medication, and replenish as needed. Ensure that instruments and equipment are effectively maintained. Provide excellent patient care. Required Qualifications: Will accept and train those with little experience as a medical assistant or dental assistant. Willingness to learn Front or Back-Office Great organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to provide excellent patient care, even under stressful circumstances. Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude. Preferred Qualifications: Dental Assisting experience is preferred, but not required. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5 to 6 hour shift Other job specifications: Working on-site is essential to the function of this position. Must be able to stand up to 80% of the time at minimum. Physical requirements include driving, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time.
