Primary duties and responsibilities: (essential to this position) Manage and advise on the evaluation, implementation, and support of IT systems including local and wide area networks, telecommunications, software, hardware, and related equipment. Determine and evaluate current and future technology, communication, and information needs. Acquire equipment, software, and supplies to support business activities. Analyze and control costs associated with technology, communications, and information systems. Negotiate contracts for technology, communication, and information systems, services, and equipment. Participate in strategic planning as a member of the Senior Management team, including project development and implementation. Serve as backup for the Information Technology Security Officer. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Interview and screen potential employees related to IT responsibilities. Lead resolution of core processor problems. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain knowledge of compliance responsibilities and ensure regulatory adherence. Create and implement a technology Disaster Recovery Plan. Supervisory Functions: Oversee and manage a team, including Onsite Help Desk Technicians. BA/BS Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or Business. Experience: 8-10 years in progressive roles with 3+ years supervisory experience. Desired experience in: Viewpoint and B2W software Directory Services and network user administration Various software packages Strong organizational skills Preferred background: Previous experience in construction and/or engineering companies.
