Candidates must be based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate (you will be working on-site in our South Bay office a few days a week).

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement security and compliance frameworks aligned with GDPR, SOC2, and internal policies.
  • Lead security awareness initiatives and ensure company-wide training completion and enforcement.
  • Collaborate with engineering and legal to bake security into processes and infrastructure.
  • Manage security tools (e.g. vulnerability scanners, MDM platforms) and ensure proper configuration and usage.
  • Run regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans; drive remediation efforts with relevant teams.
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, documenting actions and improving response playbooks.
  • Own access management systems (VPNs, Jira, SSO tools) and enforce least privilege principles.
  • Maintain and update security and compliance documentation, procedures, and audit trails.
  • Track and report on data usage, endpoint security, and hardware enrollment status across the organization.
  • Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes (e.g. EU AI Act) and lead the implementation of new compliance frameworks as needed..
  • Provide hands-on system administration support, especially around secure configurations and updates.
  • Act as a point of leadership within the security and compliance domain, mentoring others and driving best practices.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a role involving compliance, cybersecurity, or system administration.
  • Proven experience managing internal and external audits, including prep, execution, and follow-up.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools like vulnerability scanners, MDM solutions, and endpoint protection.
  • Familiarity with corporate IT policies and enforcement across multiple departments and device types.
  • Experience managing user access, VPNs, and tools like Jira or similar platforms.
  • Track record of responding to security incidents, documenting impact, and driving improvements.
  • Proficient in administering systems across Mac, Windows, and Linux environments.
  • Ability to manage hardware security, including device enrollment and lifecycle tracking.
