Executive Search Consultant at The Finders Staffing General Manager (2 locations-New Castle County, DE) Our Client, a Liquor Superstore with two locations delivers best-in-class service and selection of a distinctive world of wine, beer, & spirits for their customers. We are searching for a Wine and Spirits General Manager who is dynamic, forward-thinking, and excited about transforming these stores into the ultimate liquor shopping destinations. Responsibilities: Provides leadership for all employees, including product training, motivation, communication, and sharing of the Company vision. Oversee general operations including P&L, merchandising execution, inventory-shrink parameters, product ordering, retail pricing strategy, employee scheduling, sales and service, and training. Focus on customer experience, brand, and loyalty awareness by building relationships throughout the community. Create and foster a sales-focused environment through the development of team members. Establish effective working relationships with suppliers, seeking the best cost of goods, terms, and rebates. Rebrand and reposition both stores. Participate in product knowledge training and implementation through team coaching. Staff and schedule to meet our client’s needs, including interviewing, hiring, and training team members. Lead the performance management process, including reviews and ongoing career development discussions. Qualifications: 10+ years’ experience in liquor retail sales, preferably in a big box environment. Proven success as a GM or AGM in a Wine and Spirit Retail Store. Possesses strong knowledge of gross profit, inventory control, and labor percentages. Proven ability to positively affect sales, overall performance and manage profit and loss. Experience leading and motivating a sales and customer focused team. Possesses creative merchandising and display skills. Experience developing team member performance and coaching. Hospitality Degree along with WSE, Sommelier, or other industry certifications preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires.
