Job Title:

Substance Abuse Therapist / Licensed Therapist (MSW with LSW – VA Only)

Job Overview:

A licensed Substance Abuse Therapist plays a vital role in providing comprehensive counseling and treatment services for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This role focuses on patient care, therapy, and recovery support , ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual therapy sessions to support patient recovery.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on assessments.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals and community resources.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and case files.
• Provide crisis intervention and support relapse prevention strategies.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and state regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Education: Master of Social Work ( MSW ) with LSW (Licensed Social Worker).
• Experience: Prior work with substance use disorder and mental health populations preferred.
• Certifications: Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Skills: Strong communication , clinical assessment , and problem-solving abilities.
