Low Voltage Installer/Technician

Location : Nashville, TN

Duration : 6 month contract to hire

Schedule : Onsite Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)

A client in the Nashville, TN area is looking for an Install Technician to join their team. They will be doing a variety of tasks such as installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, and related customer training on assigned security, and/or building automation projects.

• Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of systems and equipment which may include security & life safety, and/or building automation.
• Interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
• Provides basic installation assistance as directed by the project lead.
• Makes suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality.
• Responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position.

Desired Skillset:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role specifically working with low voltage.
• Running, Installing, Terminating, and Splicing wires (CAT5, CAT6, Fiber)
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic security systems.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing defective parts, and debugging systems for routine problems.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
