Recruit Staff HR is seeking qualified and experienced associates to work at our client site located in Riverside, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a lumber yard, particularly in cutting engineered wood/I-joists, pulling orders, and loading materials. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery to cut engineered wood and I-joists according to client specifications.
• Accurately pull and prepare orders for customer pickup or delivery.
• Load and unload materials safely using proper equipment, including forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.
• Inspect materials for quality and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the lumber yard.
• Assist with inventory management, including counting and stocking materials.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Adhere to all company and client site safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a lumber yard or similar environment.
  • Hands-on experience cutting engineered wood and/or I-joists preferred.
  • Experience with forklifts or other material-handling equipment is a plus (certification preferred).
  • MUST HAVE COMBLIFT FORKLIT EXPERIENCE 

• Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more).

• Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the Riverside, CA site.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by the client.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor and indoor environments; exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Fast-paced and physically demanding role requiring standing, lifting, and repetitive movements.
