Express is now hiring for a Maintenance and Grounds Assistant at a local Port based out of Olympia, WA. This is an temporary, seasonal opportunity expected to last 5-6 months. The schedule will be 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday. The compensation for this position will be $19-$24/hr depending on experience.

 

Job Duties:

1. The duties include but are not limited to the following and depend upon experience level. The Maintenance & Grounds Assistant will perform:

   • Various maintenance duties at Port Properties and Facilities.
   • Performs janitorial duties; assignments may include but are not limited to graffiti removal, power washing, garbage disposal, shower facilities, laundry rooms, and warehouse/shop spaces.
   Perform general grounds keeping and landscaping maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, irrigation repair, shoveling, and raking. Depending on experience, equipment operation and upkeep will include riding lawn mowers and/or tractors. This position requires the use of hand and power tools.

 

Job Requirements:

• • Ability to be able to sign an Employee Values Statement, pass a background check, and drug screening.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  Must have a valid Washington State driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Port of Olympia insurance carrier.
