Exciting Opportunity: Neuro-Oncologist and/or Neurologist

MSK’s Department of Neurology is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Neuro-Oncologist and/or Neurologist . We welcome candidates with a focus in neuro-oncology or neurology-trained applicants interested in general neurology (seizures, neuropathy, stroke, memory loss, etc.) within a cancer population.

• Our Department consists of two services:
  • Neuro-Oncology and Cancer Neurology
  • Cancer Rehabilitation
• Our integrated network extends from Southern New Jersey to Eastern Long Island.
• The Neuro-Oncology and Cancer Neurology Service includes:
  • 18 fellowship-trained neuro-oncologists
  • 6 cancer neurologists
  • 7 advanced practice providers
• We offer a clinical trial portfolio featuring cutting-edge therapies for patients with a full spectrum of CNS cancers and complications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a dedicated team of specialists in Neurosurgery, Neuropathology, Neuroradiology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Radiation Oncology, and Medical Oncology.
• Attend outpatient clinics in Manhattan and other regional locations (e.g., Long Island or NJ), and participate in inpatient and consult services.
• Receive support from professionally trained staff, including an office coordinator, clinical and research coordinators, and research protocol nurses.
• Mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in research and innovation with robust infrastructure for clinical trials.
• Lead the growth and development of a world-class program in neuro-oncology.

Application Requirements

• Must hold an M.D., MD/PhD, or DO, and be Board certified or board eligible in neurology and/or neuro-oncology, with the ability to obtain a New York Medical License.
• Clinical and research interest in primary and metastatic CNS tumors is required.
• Completion of an accredited fellowship training program in neuro-oncology and/or neurology is mandatory.
