POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Plan, lead, and coordinate all field activities for multiple projects within the Roofing construction industry, including scheduling, Material Deliveries, Material Purchases, Required equipment, collaboration, coordination, and safety within the Roofing & Construction Industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the roofing contracting business, including project management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure Project schedules and timelines are being met by production.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality completion of roofing projects.
• Coordinates between project management, field engineering, estimating, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, client to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and company quality standards.
• Create, maintain, and monitor a 3 week look ahead schedule.
• Facilitates discovery and correction of contract document errors and omissions, and problem solving.
• Plans the sequencing of work and determines manpower levels, material quantities and equipment requirements.
• Lead on productivity issues and monitors work performance and efficiency of company employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule are followed and project is executed effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external record-keeping requirements, with particular emphasis on accurately reflecting hours worked and proper coding of activities performed on time cards.
• Record all jobsite activities in cloud-based project management software.
• Monitor and control operational budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintains logs and documentation of trainings, inspections, injuries and illnesses, and other safety records.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory and procurement of materials and equipment.

 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of construction management, and or related fields.
• Experience with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role within the construction or roofing industry.
• Strong knowledge of operational management principles and practices.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and industry standards is an advantage.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
