We’re hiring a Certified Personal Trainer to join our team at Chicago Fit Performance.

We’re not a big-box gym. CFP is a private, high-touch functional training facility built around personal semi-private and small group training. We’ve been around for over 12 years, and we take pride in coaching at a high level and delivering real results and great experience to clients. Coaching is the LIFEBLOOD of what we do, and we give our coaches the tools and environment they need to be successful and thrive.

If you’re qualified, passionate, coachable, and ready to bring the best out of people, we’d love to hear from you. If hired, you’ll undergo a 2-week paid training to learn our proven systems and philosophies that have made CFP one of the top training gyms in Chicago.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• A certified personal trainer with at least 1–2 years of experience
• Dependable, on time, and genuinely cares about clients
• People-first attitude. While we’re well known for our technical and coaching abilities, our coaching starts with connection. We train  humans , not just bodies. We go to great lengths to get to know clients, what motivates them, and to understand the deeper reasons behind why they train.
• Lifelong learner open to feedback, hungry to grow, and takes initiative. We don’t do “just enough” at CFP. We invest in education, growth, and staying at the cutting edge. This keeps us at the forefront of our industry and allows us to stay ahead, and that's why continuing education for us is non-negotiable.
• Team player who brings energy to the room and wants to contribute to something bigger.

The general population makes up the majority of clients – people looking to get fit, strong, and healthy with the help of our expertise. You’ll coach both small group, semi-private and private sessions using CFP’s proven programming systems and coaching standards.

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT:

At CFP, we don’t just hand you a clipboard and throw you out there. We teach you how to coach. All new hires go through a 2-week paid onboarding process where you’ll learn our training systems, programming principles, and coaching standards. We also offer ongoing mentorship to help you continue leveling up. We invest in our coaches the same way we expect you to invest in clients.

$30 - $45 hourly

• Teach clients proper form for all exercises to reduce injury risk and to take the most out of their training
• Hold yourself and your clients to the highest standards of conduct and safety
• Customize training programs to assist clients in achieving their fitness goals while staying within their current physical capabilities
• Monitor clients' progress and adjust their fitness programs accordingly
• Perform assessments to ensure that all exercise routines are appropriate for each client

• Currently certified as a fitness instructor or personal trainer
• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and coworkers
• Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills
• This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
