We are currently hiring a Pharmacy Technician for a 910 week contract with the potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance. This position is based in a closed-door pharmacy environment and is ideal for someone seeking steady hours, long-term opportunity, and a mix of data entry and fulfillment duties.
Position Overview:
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 910 weeks (with contract-to-hire potential)
Schedule: MondayFriday, 12:30 PM8:30 PM or 1:00 PM9:00 PM
Weekend Rotation: Every 3rd weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
Key Responsibilities:
Enter prescription and billing information accurately into the system
Assist in prescription fulfillment and prepackaging under pharmacist supervision
Support pharmacist with final verification by staging or packaging medications
Help manage inventory, including receiving, rotating stock, and logging lot numbers and expiration dates
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including equipment checks and documentation
Participate in physical inventory and general pharmacy operations
Note: This position is primarily focused on data entry but may include additional fulfillment tasks. No IV compounding is required.
Qualifications:
Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (in-hand required)
Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
High attention to detail, reliable, and tech-savvy
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
