Job Description

Your Career

We seek an experienced Thermal Engineer to develop and optimize thermal solutions for PAN products. You will collaborate with mechanical engineers to design, evaluate, and improve thermal systems, ensuring performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in NPI and sustaining programs.

Your Impact

  • Support thermal efforts in PAN product development (NPI & Sustaining)
  • Assist ASIC team in thermal package performance evaluation prior to manufacturing
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers on thermal solutions
  • Conduct thermal feasibility studies and evaluate design viability
  • Create and maintain thermal simulation models throughout product development
  • Optimize thermal designs for quality and cost
  • Participate in engineering meetings and system design reviews
  • Support thermal testing and review thermal reports
  • Assist with sustaining thermal efforts to ensure long-term performance
  • Support early-phase thermal development tasks
  • Provide recommendations on thermal materials and assembly

Qualifications

Your Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of active and passive thermal design solutions
  • Understanding of telecom rack and desktop design
  • Ability to work across hardware, operations, manufacturing, and quality teams
  • Understanding of ASIC package design

Communication

  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills

Experience

  • 7-10 years in PAN product design, focusing on cooling solutions
  • Flowtherm & Icepak modeling skills

Education

  • PhD, MS, or BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

Additional Information

  • Integral role in product lifecycle, supporting NPI and sustaining programs
  • Requires flexibility and proactive approach across multiple efforts

Compensation Disclosure

Salary ranges from $166,000 to $267,500 annually, depending on qualifications and location. Compensation may include stock units and bonuses. Benefits details are available on our website.
