Your Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Intensive Care unit, you will:

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, adhering to the highest standards of practice.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, keeping the care team and physicians informed.
• Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Evaluate and educate patients and families, tailoring information to their unique needs.
• Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of your patients.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to ongoing projects and committees.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to all hospital policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Associate's degree in nursing is required.

Required Skills

• Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Certifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
• AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.

Licenses

Current and active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee or a compact license with the required forms filed within 30 days.

Working Conditions
