Job Description

The role of the Sr. Production Manager is to make sure a production is made and delivered smoothly, efficiently, safely, and within budget against the designated deadline. Working alongside the Director of Midwest Region Production to oversee the strategic and organizational planning of the production process, the Production Manager is responsible for a slate of programming, which involves both in-house-produced material and external commissions through production partners. You may manage a team, including both internal and external coordinators, to ensure the delivery of the programming against the designated deadline. Most of what Production Managers do is common sense: to have an eye for details and fight the fires when things don’t quite go to plan! Involved in every stage of a production from initial planning, budgeting, schedules and contract negotiations, the Production Manager has an oversight during and after final delivery that all contractual obligations are met. Responsibilities Areas that play to your strengths All the responsibilities we'll trust you with: 5+ years experience in production management or line producing. A proven track record of managing both a slate of programs as well as third party companies. A track record of delivering successful commissions. Excellent financial skills. Ability to think strategically and find solutions to logistical, financial and other issues. Ability to conceptualize ideas, initiative, and problem-solving. Resourcefulness and the ability to troubleshoot. Budget and financial skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Precise attention to detail and methodical approach to work. Excellent organizational abilities. IT skills and knowledge of the relevant computer packages. Current knowledge of the relevant legislation, regulations and associated procedures including Copyright, Guilds/Unions, Data Protection, Risk/Insurance, Clearances etc. and how to comply with regulatory requirements. Knowledge of the requirements of relevant Health and Safety legislation and procedures. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Must be fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage. Must have valid US Drivers License. The base salary range for this position is $85,600 - $128,400 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
