Status : Full-Time permanent position (40 hours) Standard working hours : 830am to 530pm EST, M-F Location : Remote opportunities available in the following states : Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington (state), West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming Job Description Summary : Responsible for accurately developing employer group rates. Works with the sales department to finalize rates and develop appropriate benefit alternatives as appropriate. Acts as a mentor / advisor to Underwriters and Underwriting Trainees. Responsible for cases with the highest level of complexity. Education : Certification / Licenses : None required Experience : 7 years of Underwriting experience in health insurance Must have experience in large group underwriting (51+ employees). Preferred experience in prospect rating, renewal rating, and self-funding We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is : $60,756.8 - $101,245.4. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby / on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
