Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage all incoming repair jobs, taking appropriate pictures and documenting appropriate notes as needed.
  • Work with Plant Manager to establish daily production schedule for all employees and cylinder assembly including what priority of jobs is needed and what jobs need assembled to meet customer due dates.
  • Works with Plant Manager on job scheduling demands.
  • Assists Plant Manager with specific duties assigned.
  • Works with Plant Manager to meet monthly company goals and objectives.
  • Keep standards folders accurate and up to date.
  • Responsible for all incoming receiving of parts and material. Putting all parts and material in its proper place.
  • Is a member of Yates "emergency crew" to assist during after-hours emergency jobs.
  • Put all new approved jobs in the works. Pull all stock items and let purchasing know what we need to order. Send out and track all vendor items.
  • Keeps part area clean, organized and with proper inventory.
  • Maintains on-time delivery of finished goods.
  • Keeps vendor outsourcing spread sheet up to date and accurate.
  • Have all reports ready and up to date for weekly production meeting.
  • Keep all required measuring instruments, torquing tools and gages calibrated and tracked accordingly.
  • Use online configurator to help get tie rod cylinders that are beyond repair quoted.
  • Keep income projection spreadsheet accurate and update
  • Always ensures safety and report any issues to management.
  • Promotes a positive culture in accordance with the company's policy and practices.
  • Learn and have a working knowledge of our Made 2 Manage system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Made2Manage, and Microsoft Outlook.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of cylinder product line
