*Job Title:* Speech Language Pathologist – 13 Week Contract
*Location:* Hibbing, MN/Chisholm, MN

Big Stone Staffing travelers have the opportunity to work in multiple settings including long term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, inpatient, outpatient, and home health. We offer 13-week travel contracts and provide assistance to find housing, navigating licensure for each state, and being the liaison between you and the facility. *Overview:*
* *Setting*: LTC/SNF and OP
* *Total Pay Package: *Starting at$2,000 per week
* *Guarantee:* 40-hour weekly guarantee
* *Schedule:* Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm– No weekends, holidays or call
* *Start Date:* ASAP
* *Length*: 13 weeks
*Responsibilities:*
* Assess, diagnose and treat communication disorders such as speech, fluency, language, voice and swallowing disorders.
* Develop, plan and implement a treatment plan that will remedy the issue the patient is presenting with.
* Create personalized care plans for each patient, often working with other medical staff on an interdisciplinary team.
* Educate and counsel patients and families on communication and swallowing disorders.
* Research speech and communication disorders and develop new diagnostic procedures and devices.
* Instruct and supervise communicative disorders assistants, students and other health care professionals.
*Qualifications:*
* Doctorate or master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution.
* Clinical Competence Certificate required
* Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist
* Valid driver’s license
* Must be able to pass a background check and pre-work screen physical examination
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in skilled nursing and/or outpatient settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
