Job Summary
We are seeking a professional Title Agent to join our team! In this role, you will ensure the legal sale of properties through extensive research and provide clients with an exceptional closing experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze public records, plat books, leases, surveys, contracts, and other complex documents to verify ownership and search for title challenges
• Coordinate with other professionals in the real estate industry, including real estate agents, escrow officers, and loan officers
• Perform title search and prepare title abstract and opinion
• Review closing documents to ensure title commitments are met
• Prepare closing statements for title transfer and issue the title policy
• Record legal documents at the county and federal level

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required, some college preferred
• Previous experience as a Title Agent or in a similar role is preferred
• Able to meet state licensing requirements, a current title producers license is preferred
• Understanding of real estate contracts, the loan process, title insurance, and the escrow process
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with computer software, familiarity with title and escrow software is preferred
