Underground Utility Foreman

A well-established site development contractor is seeking an experienced Underground Utility Foreman to oversee field operations on commercial and mission-critical construction projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong underground utility experience who can manage crews, ensure safety and quality compliance, and deliver work on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily crew activities on active construction sites
• Lead installation of stormwater systems, water mains, and sanitary sewers
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
• Communicate daily with project management, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation
• Enforce company safety policies and lead by example
• Mentor and support team development

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of underground utility construction experience
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or foreman role preferred
• Deep knowledge of excavation, trench safety, grading, and utility installation
• Proven ability to manage crews and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a bonus
