Job Title – Controls Engineer
Location: Liberty, NC
Duration: 12 Months
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Pay Range: $65 - $70 per hour on W2
Travel: Up to 25% (international travel possible but not planned currently)
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support the battery production lines within the Powertrain department. This role focuses on developing process specifications for data collection and supporting control systems across machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop specifications for machine data collection
• Support controls engineering for PLC, Touch Screen, and NC Program integration
• Manage PLC, networking, and database-driven data systems
• Innovate solutions for efficient data collection in manufacturing
• Lead cross-functional activities with minimal supervision
• Assist with project management and documentation
Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong background in PLC, networking, and databases (SQL, Oracle, Postgres)
• Experience with communication protocols (ENET, ENET IP, RFID, RS232/485, CC Link)
• Knowledge of software like Ignition for HMI/data transfer to servers
• Familiarity with Mitsubishi and Siemens controls programming
• Nice to have: Power BI, Power Apps, C#, Python
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 10+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international if needed)
• Availability for occasional weekend or holiday work (e.g., July, December)
