Position: E&S Commercial Lines Underwriter Location: [Insert Location or Remote if applicable] Industry: Wholesale Insurance / MGA Experience Required: 8+ Years Client: A Leading Wholesale MGA Overview: My client is hiring an experienced and driven E&S Commercial Lines Underwriter to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned underwriter with a strong background in Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines, deep broker and client relationships, and hands-on experience with underwriting platforms such as AIM and ImageRight . Key Responsibilities: Underwrite and manage a diverse book of E&S commercial lines business, ensuring profitability and compliance with underwriting guidelines. Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail agents, brokers, and internal stakeholders to drive new business and renewals. Analyze risk submissions, determine acceptability, pricing, and coverage terms in accordance with company standards. Utilize AIM and ImageRight systems for quoting, binding, and policy management. Collaborate with internal teams including actuarial, claims, and compliance to ensure holistic risk assessment and service delivery. Stay current on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the E&S space. Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of underwriting experience in E&S commercial lines. Proven track record of cultivating and maintaining broker and client relationships . Proficiency in AIM and ImageRight platforms is required. Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field. Professional designations such as CPCU, AU, or ASLI are a plus.
