The successful candidate will support senior engineers and project managers in the planning, design, and execution of underground utility systems, including water, sewer, stormwater, and related civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine testing and analysis of materials including resins, epoxies, geopolymers, and other compounds used in production.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of testing protocols and methodologies.
  • Support failure analysis and root cause investigations as needed.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot material-related issues.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to support career growth within the lab and engineering team.
  • Assist in the design and layout of underground piping systems, including water mains, sewers, and stormwater drainage.
  • Support field investigations, site surveys, and data collection for design development.
  • Prepare technical drawings, construction documents, and engineering calculations under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to provide engineering support during project execution.
  • Assist in ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
  • Help prepare cost estimates, reports, and documentation for project proposals.
  • Participate in inspections and quality control processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities and changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, other engineering, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in civil and infrastructure engineering (internships acceptable)
  • Familiarity with underground utilities and infrastructure projects is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, hydrology, and hydraulics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a team environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving materials up to 45lbs.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with ASTM testing standards.
  • Experience working with resins, epoxies, or cementitious materials.
  • Knowledge of lab software or data entry systems.
