Are you a Tax Preparer with extensive experience and a proven track record in preparing and filing taxes for both individual and business clients in the US? If so, lets chat.

We are Cameron and Faisal, partners of Darien Advisors, a crypto & web3 focused tax advisory firm. We're not your typical advisory firm, and this isn't a standard 9-5 gig. We're passionate about crypto, live DeFi, and work with some pretty rad people doing rad things. We have experienced rapid growth since our launch, and we are growing our team and looking for an experienced accountant to join our practice.

Before we get into the details, let me share some information you probably want to know that might make you leave now or be excited to keep reading.

Pay: $60K annual (depending on experience).

Hours:

• Short-Term: 10-20 hours per week
• Long-Term: 20-40 hours per week

Below is a list of requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as a Tax Preparer with a focus on both individual and business tax filing in the US
• Proficiency in using the Drake tax tool is essential for this role
• Deep understanding of US tax laws, regulations, and updates
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure precision in tax preparation
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

• Utilize your expert proficiency in the Drake tax tool to efficiently prepare and file taxes for individual and business clients
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of tax documents, financial records, and relevant information to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with our existing tax team to share knowledge, brainstorm ideas, and maintain a high standard of service delivery
• Maintain clear and organized records of all tax-related documents and communications

We're not looking for one person to satisfy all the requirements but looking for a couple of people who are nimble and want to develop with us.

Tools we use that youll need to be familiar with:

• Drake
• Karbon
• Slack (or similar communication tool)
• G-Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, etc.)

Short-term, this position will be 10 hours per week, and we will coordinate a time that works well for all of us. Long-term, this position will be full-time with 40 working hours per week. Sometimes there is work to be done on the weekend, but we try to avoid it.

Our team consists of 2 partners and 15 contributors across crypto tax, accounting, and operations. Despite being located all over the world in 8 countries, we all feel like family, and anyone who we hire onto our team full-time, we want to be a part of that family. Personality will be a big part of the hiring decision. We also dont care where you live or work from, as long as you can jam all the same.
